***Note: You will be emailed when the shirts are ready for distribution.
This shirt was created to help fund the independent documentary Why I Roll, a film exploring jiu-jitsu as discipline, structure, and lived philosophy.
The artwork reimagines the core archetypes of jiu-jitsu as a chess set. Each figure represents a different role on the mat and in life. Strategy, hierarchy, patience, sacrifice, and restraint. Not every piece moves the same way, but every piece matters.
This is not merch for training. It is a statement for those who live the practice beyond the gym.
Shirt Details
Printed on a soft, lightweight cotton t-shirt designed for everyday wear.
The fabric is made from ring-spun cotton, which is smoother and more refined than standard cotton. Ring-spun yarns are created by twisting and thinning the cotton fibers, resulting in a fabric that feels softer against the skin, drapes naturally, and holds up better over time.
The shirt features a modern classic fit. Clean and balanced through the shoulders and chest, with an easy, straight fall through the body. It is not boxy and not tight. Comfortable, wearable, and flattering on a wide range of builds.
Constructed with a tubular body, the shirt has no side seams, giving it a clean silhouette and consistent feel throughout. Lightweight and breathable, it works equally well on its own or layered.
This is a shirt meant to be worn regularly, not saved.
